Kid Friendly Terminology
Children’s dentistry is just a part of what Dr. Jackson has specialized in. Another part is guiding children through a positive experience in what otherwise might be difficult. One of the ways this is accomplished is by using kid-friendly terminology when necessary.
The below terminology contributes to a positive experience and uses relatable items and words that children can understand. There are an array of words we avoid using because they may initiate fear, anxiety or negativity. Being familiar with this terminology helps adults understand what to expect as well.

At Clubhouse Pediatric Dentistry we want both parents and children to be comfortable and relaxed. We know that waiting in a doctor’s office can be a stressful. Our waiting areas have plenty of seating to provide a relaxing environment for parents and a play area for the kids so they may have fun prior to their appointment.
Take A Tour of the Office
We are a children’s dental office not a library. As such, it is a safe haven for all kids. If your kids need to wiggle or shout – that is okay! During your first visit Dr. Jackson will spend time getting to know your family. You will get, “Doctor Time” for every child, every tooth, every time. Dr. Jackson encourages parents to take part in the, “game plan” should their child need treatment.
If your child has any special needs or considerations, or if you have any questions prior to your first visit, please contact us so we can prepare for your appointment or address your questions.
